Influence of the Strand Characteristics on the Properties of Oriented Strand Boards Obtained from Resinous and Broad-Leaved Fast-Growing Species

The paper aims to investigate the influence of characteristics strands on properties oriented strand boards (OSB). To solve this objective, some global synthetic (the slenderness ratio, thinness, and specific surface) four wood species currently used in technology (spruce pine for softwood, poplar willow hardwood) were first studied. OSB obtained from each separately also determined, finally correlations analysis was made between those corresponding boards. working methodology European tests regarding physical mechanical boards, but algorithms forecasting evaluating quality conclusions have highlighted role surface thickness; respectively, showed that fast-growing lead obtaining higher general conclusion is a significant physical–mechanical board.
